I love this sport.  I love feeling my legs burn. I love the community and the incredible bonds and connections I have made through running.  I love that my feet take me on an adventure where I see the world from a different perspective. Through creeks and streams, over rocks and hills–I am at complete and total peace when my feet move beneath me, from the moment I tie up my shoes, there is nowhere else and nothing else I would rather be doing. Most importantly, I love that I share it with my husband, Matt Setlack.

I would not have this connection with running if it were not for the support and gentle push from my Mom and Dad, as a shy and introverted kid they pushed me to join the Kingston Napanee Legion Track & Field Club and from that moment on, I was hooked.

I learned how to handle adversity and claw my way back from four years of burnout under the NCAA division 1 program. Steve Boyd and his crew at Physi Kult (Pat McDermott, Jeff Brison) are/were paramount in teaching others the fundamentals of our sport. We have had many great conversations while winding through destinations.

Community makes up our sport; we run, learn, share and grow.  I am always eager to answer any questions about training or racing, don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m still learning and always will be.

My coach, Jim Finlayson kindly puts his time and energy into helping me surpass my goals.
